The mayor’s demands are actually pretty straightforward.8. ‘협박 전담 위원’ 하나 임명해서 RCMP(왕립 캐나다 기마경찰) 조직범죄 수사대랑 정보 자원들 써리에 팍팍 지원해달라는 거랑, 협박질하다 걸린 비시민권자들은 이민법 적용해서 바로 추방 절차 밟게 해달라는 거임.
The plan is to bring in a special commissioner for threats, dump all the RCMP’s anti-gang resources into Surrey, and kick out any non-citizens caught in the extortion game.9. 게다가 관련된 놈들은 구금도 더 쉽게 할 수 있게 법 좀 만져달라는 거지.
On top of that she wants the law tweaked to make it way easier to keep those punks in custody10. 근데 웃긴 건 저번 주에 BC주 RCMP 간부란 사람이 “공공 안전에 위협적이긴 한데 위기 상황까진 아님” 이딴 소리를 해서 시장님이랑 주지사님 뒷목 잡게 만들었단 말이지.
The kicker is, some BC RCMP official claimed it’s a threat but not a crisis, driving the mayor and premier absolutely nuts.11. 다행히 주정부는 지원금이랑 검사들 보내주기로 했는데, 연방정부가 이 사태를 얼마나 심각하게 받아들일지가 관건이네.
