Another fatal accident just happened where someone was hit by a train.4. 오늘 아침 8시가 조금 안 된 시간에 포트 랭리(Fort Langley)의 글로버 로드(Glover Road)랑 빌리 브라운 로드(Billy Brown Road) 근처에서 사고가 났대.
Word is an accident went down near Glover and Billy Brown Roads in Fort Langley a bit before 8 AM5. 구급대원들이 와서 살려보려고 애썼지만, 안타깝게도 현장에서 숨을 거두셨다고 하네.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and tried their best to save them but sadly they passed away on the spot6. 랭리 경찰 쪽에서도 손쓸 틈이 없었나 봐.
It looks like the Langley police didn’t really have a chance to do anything7. 사고 수습하느라 주변 도로도 한동안 통제됐었어.
The surrounding roads were blocked off for a while to clean up the scene8. 이게 더 마음 아픈 건, 불과 3주 전인 1월 8일 저녁에도 같은 기차 노선에서 비슷한 사고가 있었단 말이지.
What makes this even more gut-wrenching is that a similar tragedy hit the same train line just three weeks back on the evening of January 8th9. 그때는 랭리 타운십의 더비 힐스 공원(Derby Hills Park)이랑 208 스트리트 건널목 근처였는데, 그때도 병원으로 옮기기도 전에 돌아가셨다고 해.
That one was right by Derby Hills Park and the 208 Street crossing in Langley Township, and they reportedly passed away before they could even make it to the hospital.10. 지금 경찰에서는 두 사고 모두 구체적인 경위나 돌아가신 분들 신원은 공개하지 않고 있어.
For now, the cops are keeping the details and the victims’ identities under wraps for both cases.11. 짧은 기간에 같은 지역에서 이런 비극이 계속되니까 진짜 마음이 무겁다.
