It was around 9 PM last Monday, and the senior basketball teams from Eric Hamber and Killarney were going head-to-head in a super intense game.3. 시니어 팀이면 11학년이랑 12학년 형들이 뛰는 건데, 경기는 연장 접전 끝에 킬러니가 97대 95로 이기면서 끝났어.
Since it was the senior teams, the grade 11 and 12 guys were playing, and Killarney pulled off a tight win in overtime with a score of 97-95.4. 근데 문제는 그 직후에 터진 거야.
But that is when all hell broke loose right after the game5. 경기 끝나고 나서 구경하던 관중들 사이에서 시비가 붙었는지 싸움이 났는데, 그 와중에 18살 남학생 한 명이 팔을 흉기에 찔리는 사고를 당했어.
Right after the game ended, a massive fight broke out among the spectators, and in the middle of all that chaos, an 18-year-old guy got stabbed in the arm.6. 피해자는 바로 병원으로 이송돼서 치료받고 있는데 상처가 꽤 깊은가 봐.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and is currently getting treated, but it looks like the wound's pretty nasty.7. 엑스(X, 예전 트위터)에 올라온 영상 보니까 학생들이 무리지어 싸우고 있고 어른들은 놀라서 뜯어말리고 완전 아수라장이더라.
From the videos posted on X students were brawling in groups while shocked adults tried to break them up and it was absolute pandemonium8. 지금 밴쿠버 경찰이 당시 싸움 장면이나 경기 중 상황을 찍은 핸드폰 영상 가지고 있는 사람 제보를 간절하게 찾고 있어.
Vancouver police are now desperately looking for anyone who’s got cell phone footage of the brawl or what went down during the game.9. 아직 범인은 안 잡혔다고 하는데, 학교 측에서도 학부모님들한테 편지 보내고 경찰관도 학교에 추가로 보낸다고 하네.
The suspect is still on the loose, so the school sent out letters to parents and they’re bringing in extra cops for backup.10. 피해자가 예전에 밴쿠버 교육청 다니던 학생이라는데, 즐거워야 할 학교 행사가 이렇게 끝나서 너무 씁쓸하다.
It’s a total bummer that a fun school event ended this way, especially since the victim was a former Vancouver School Board student.11. 다들 사람 많은 곳에서는 항상 조심하자.
