Around 9:50 on Thursday morning, the police swarmed Centennial and Gleneagle and locked the whole place down.3. 이게 ‘홀드 앤 시큐어’ (Hold-and-secure) 라는 건데, 외부 문은 잠그고 안에서 수업은 계속하는 조치야.
This is a hold-and-secure, where they lock the outer doors but keep the classes running inside.4. 어제도 코퀴틀람이랑 포트 코퀴틀람 학교 8군데, 포트 무디 학교까지 협박 전화가 와서 한바탕 소동이 있었는데 오늘 또 그런 일이 터진 거야.
Yesterday was a total mess with threats to eight schools across Coquitlam and Port Moody and today it’s happening all over again5. 경찰은 현장에 계속 대기하고 있었고, 다행히 오후 1시 30분에 상황은 종료됐어.
The cops were standing by on-site and luckily, everything wrapped up at 1:30 PM6. 경찰 말로는 협박 전화가 계속 걸려오고 있다는데, 수사에 방해될까 봐 자세한 내용은 공개 안 한다고 하네.
The cops say they’re still getting threatening calls but they’re keeping the details under wraps so they don’t mess up the investigation7. 학부모들은 당연히 걱정되지 않겠어?
You can bet that parents are worried sick about this whole situation8. 학교랑 교육청이 계속 상황 공유하고 있긴 한데, 이런 장난질 치는 범인은 진짜 잡혀야 돼.
