But this thief drove like a complete lunatic, ended up smashing into another car and flipped his ride over like a turtle near Granville Street and Broadway.6. 차 훔쳐서 폼 나게 도주하나 싶더니 바로 전복 사고 내고 찌그러진 거지.
He thought he’d pull off a slick getaway in that stolen ride, but then he flipped the damn thing and wrecked it.7. 근데 마침 그 현장을 비번이라 쉬고 있던 밴쿠버 경찰(VPD)관이 딱 목격해버린 거임.
But as luck would have it an off-duty VPD officer happened to witness the entire scene8. 쉬는 날에도 본능적으로 몸이 반응했는지 바로 달려가서 다른 경찰들 올 때까지 범인 못 도망가게 제압함.
Even though he was off the clock his instincts kicked in and he rushed over to pin the suspect down until his fellow officers showed up9. 지금 그 30살 먹은 범인은 병원에서 치료받으면서 경찰 감시받는 중이고, 다행히 차 뺏긴 피해자는 크게 다친 데는 없다고 함.
