1. 월요일 오전 11시 조금 넘어서 캐나다 랭리(광역 밴쿠버에 위치한 도시) 16번가 21000 블록에서 무언가 수상한 사건이 발생했다는 신고가 들어왔어.
Just past 11 on Monday morning, a report came in about some sketchy activity over at the 21000 block of 16th Avenue in Langley.
2. 신고를 받고 경찰이랑 소방대원, 그리고 구급대원들까지 긴급하게 현장으로 출동했는데, 안타깝게도 그곳에서 두 명이 이미 숨진 채로 발견되었다고 하네.

3. 현재 사건 현장 주변은 경찰 통제선으로 완전히 막혀 있는 상태야.

4. 평소에 이쪽 도로가 차들이 꽤 많이 다니는 번잡한 길인데, 수사 때문에 통행이 제한되어서 한동안 교통이 많이 막힐 수 있다고 하니까 근처 지날 일 있으면 우회하는 게 좋을 것 같아.

5. 아직 사건 초기 단계라서 정확히 무슨 일이 있었는지 밝혀지지는 않았어.
Since it’s still early days in the investigation, what exactly went down is still up in the air.
6. 하지만 사건의 심각성 때문에 광역 밴쿠버 지역의 주요 살인 사건을 담당하는 통합살인수사팀(IHIT)이 즉각적으로 투입되어서 수사에 착수했어.
But since the case was so serious, IHIT—the team that handles major homicides across Metro Vancouver—jumped right in to start their investigation.
7. 랭리 연방경찰 소속의 자이날 샤룸 경사는 언론 발표를 통해서 앞으로 이 사건과 관련된 모든 수사 상황이나 새로운 소식은 IHIT에서 직접 전달할 예정이라고 밝혔어.
Langley RCMP’s Sgt. Zainal Sharoom announced that IHIT’s gonna handle all the updates and news about this case from here on out
8. 경찰에서는 사건의 진상을 파악하기 위해서 시민들의 도움이 절실한 상황이야.
