According to the WHO, people mainly catch Hantavirus by coming into contact with the urine, droppings, or saliva of infected rodents like rats and mice.
10. 사람끼리 전염되는 경우는 흔치 않아서 전 세계적으로 퍼질 위험은 낮다고 하니까 너무 겁먹을 필요는 없어.
Since it rarely spreads between people the risk of a global outbreak is slim so there is no need to freak out
11. 다만 잠복기가 워낙 길어서 자가격리 기간이 최장 42일까지 늘어날 수도 있다고 하더라.
But because the incubation period is so long the self-quarantine period could end up being extended for up to 42 days.
12. 혹시라도 코로나 때처럼 퍼질까 봐 걱정하는 사람들도 있을 텐데, 헨리 박사는 한타바이러스가 코로나 같은 호흡기 바이러스랑은 완전히 다르게 퍼지기 때문에 팬데믹(세계적 대유행)이 될 만한 병은 아니라고 확실히 선을 그었어.
People might be freaking out that this is another COVID, but Dr. Henry drew a hard line, saying Hanta virus spreads totally differently, so it is not gonna turn into a full-blown global pandemic.
