2. 토요일 새벽 4시 30분쯤에 232번가랑 240번가 사이 프레이저 하이웨이(Fraser Highway)에서 누군가 길에 쓰러져 있다는 신고가 들어왔대.
A call came in around 4:30 AM Saturday about someone lying on Fraser Highway between 232nd and 240th Street
3. 경찰이 바로 출동해보니까 어떤 보행자가 차에 치여서 크게 다친 상태로 발견됐어.
The cops rushed to the scene and found a pedestrian who’d been hit by a car and was in bad shape
4. 근데 사고를 낸 운전자는 이미 도망가고 현장에 없었다고 해.
Apparently, the driver who caused the crash had already bolted from the scene
5. 구급대원들이 도착해서 어떻게든 살려보려고 응급처치를 하며 최선을 다했지만, 너무 안타깝게도 그분은 결국 현장에서 돌아가시고 말았어.
Paramedics rushed in and gave it their all to save them, but sadly, they didn't make it and passed away right then and there at the scene
6. 이 사고 때문에 토요일 몇 시간 동안 그 일대 도로가 완전히 통제됐었대.
The crash shut down the whole road for several hours this Saturday
7. 경찰은 혹시라도 그 시간에 그 근처를 지나가다가 사고를 목격했거나 단서가 될 만한 걸 본 사람이 있다면 꼭 랭리 연방경찰(RCMP) 604‑532‑3200으로 제보해달라고 찾고 있어.
The police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw anything helpful while passing by to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200
8. 뺑소니는 정말 용서받을 수 없는 범죄인데 빨리 범인이 잡혀서 죗값을 치렀으면 좋겠다.
Hit-and-runs are absolutely inexcusable, so I hope they catch the culprit fast and make them face the music.
