It’s such a relief that the wildfire spreading south of Lytton, which was ballooning in size, has finally been contained.
2. 처음 발견된 쏘우 크리크(Saw Creek) 산불이 하룻밤 새 무려 6배나 커져서 수백 명이 부랴부랴 짐 싸서 대피하고 고속도로까지 통제됐었어.
The newly discovered Saw Creek wildfire blew up six times its size overnight, forcing hundreds to pack up in a rush to evacuate, and even the highway was shut down.
3. 비상사태까지 선포됐었는데, 이게 사람의 실수로 일어난 인재(사람의 부주의 등으로 인해 발생한 재난)로 추정된다니까 정말 어질어질해.

4. 그래도 천만다행으로 밤사이에 기온이 뚝 떨어지고 바람도 잔잔해진 데다가, 땅과 하늘을 오가며 고생하신 소방대원들의 멱살 캐리 덕분에 불길이 잡혔어.
Thankfully, temperatures plummeted overnight and the wind died down, and the fire was finally brought under control thanks to firefighters hard-carrying on land and in the air.

Thanks to that, the evacuation orders were lifted for about 200 homes in Thompson-Nicola and Lytton, so everyone is heading back home safe and sound
8. 다만 리턴 퍼스트 네이션(Lytton First Nation, 원주민 자치구) 쪽에 내려진 대피령은 아직 유지되고 있다니까 이쪽은 긴장의 끈을 놓으면 안 돼.
But the evacuation order for Lytton First Nation is still active, so they really can't let their guard down yet.
9. 사실 이 동네가 2021년 산불로 마을 대부분이 잿더미가 되고 2명이나 안타깝게 세상을 떠난 가슴 아픈 참사가 있었잖아.
To be honest, this town went through a heartbreaking tragedy back in 2021 when a wildfire turned most of it into ashes and took two lives.
10. 이번 화재가 그 일 이후 5년 만에 일어난 거라 다들 트라우마 때문에 멘탈 터졌을 텐데, 더 큰 피해 없이 수습돼서 진짜 십년감수했어.
Since this fire broke out five years after that tragedy everyone must have been losing their minds from the trauma of it all but thank goodness it was contained without any worse damage
11. 앞으로는 다들 제발 불조심 좀 빡세게 했으면 좋겠어.
