The cops spotted two bikes speeding dangerously and decided to give chase, but before long, one was found crashed into an RV.

This crash completely shut down both directions north of Lions Bay, leaving thousands of people stranded in the middle of the highway.
5. 오후 5시 반쯤 시작된 통제가 새벽 2시가 되어서야 풀렸으니 정말 엄청난 교통체증이었지.
The road closure started around 5:30 PM and didn’t clear up until 2 AM, creating an absolute nightmare of a traffic jam.

Since traffic was completely dead people slept in sleeping bags on the road or even set up picnic tables

Cars were running out of gas and getting dead batteries left and right, while people were even running low on food and water.
8. 어떤 사람은 도대체 무슨 일인지 알아보려고 롤러블레이드를 타고 11km나 달려서 사고 현장 근처까지 가봤는데, 그 모습이 마치 영화 속 “재난 상황” 같았다고 하더라고.
This guy rollerbladed like 11 kilometers to find out what was happening, and he said the whole scene felt straight out of a disaster movie.
