I heard that Michael Coyle, a long-time search and rescue volunteer, was found collapsed while out riding his mountain bike last Saturday.
3. 일요일에 파트너인 실비아 풀러 님이 SNS에 글을 남겼는데, 다른 라이더들과 스쿼미시 EMS(응급의료서비스)가 최선을 다해 응급처치를 했지만 안타깝게도 세상을 떠나셨다는 거야.
His partner Silvia Fuller posted on social media that fellow riders and Squamish EMS did everything they could to save him, but sadly he didn't make it.
4. 실비아 님은 스쿼미시 SAR(수색구조대) 분들이 고인을 이송해 주고 반려견까지 챙겨줘서 고맙다고 전하면서도, 지금 마음이 완전히 무너져 내렸다고 비통함을 표했어.
Sylvia thanked Squamish SAR for transporting him and taking care of his dog, but said she was completely heartbroken.
5. 고인의 온라인 프로필을 보면, 코퀴틀람 SAR(수색구조대)에서 자원봉사 매니저로 일하셨고, 평소엔 소프트웨어 개발자로 일하셨대.
If you check out his online profile, he was a volunteer manager at Coquitlam SAR and worked full-time as a software developer.
6. 게다가 신장 이식 수술을 받으셨던 이력도 있으시더라고.
On top of that, he had a history of getting a kidney transplant.
7. 당장 2026년 5월 말까지만 해도 아웃도어 밴쿠버라는 매체와 인터뷰도 하셨는데 정말 갑작스럽지.
He literally did an interview with Outdoor Vancouver as recently as late May 2026, so this is so out of the blue.
8. 마이클 코일 님은 그동안의 엄청난 봉사 정신을 인정받아서 2019년에는 캐나다 총독 자원봉사자 훈장도 받으셨어.
Michael Coyle was recognized for his incredible spirit of volunteering, even earning the Governor General's Medal for Volunteers back in 2019.
9. 2014년에도 코퀴틀람 SAR(수색구조대)에서 15년 동안 기여한 공로로 롤리 우수상을 받으셨을 정도로 지역 사회에 정말 큰 도움을 주시던 훌륭한 분이셔.
He was such an amazing person who gave back so much to the community even winning the Raleigh Award in 2014 for 15 years of service with Coquitlam SAR
10. 평생을 남을 돕는 데 헌신하신 분이 이렇게 갑자기 떠나시다니 마음이 참 무겁고 씁쓸하네.
It really breaks my heart that someone who dedicated his whole life to helping others passed away so suddenly
