2. 클린턴(Clinton) 북쪽에서 나던 산불인 피어 레이크(Pear Lake)가 통제 불능 상태였던 피프티나인 크릭(Fiftynine Creek) 산불이랑 합쳐지면서 덩치가 엄청나게 커졌어.
The Pear Lake wildfire north of Clinton merged with the out-of-control Fiftynine Creek fire and got ridiculously huge.
3. 두 산불이 합쳐진 면적만 무려 670제곱킬로미터인데, 이게 메트로 밴쿠버(Metro Vancouver, 밴쿠버와 그 주변 도시들을 포함한 광역 행정 구역) 전체 크기의 4분의 1 정도나 되는 어마어마한 규모야.
The two merged wildfires cover a whopping 670 square kilometers, which is about a quarter the size of Metro Vancouver.
4. 결국 70마일 하우스(70 Mile House)를 포함해 마을 전체에 대피령이 떨어졌고, 583가구 정도가 짐을 싸서 떠나야 했어.
Eventually, the entire town including 70 Mile House got an evacuation order, leaving around 583 households to pack up and get out.
5. 이미 불길에 타버리거나 무너진 집들도 꽤 있다고 하니 피해 규모가 장난이 아니야.
Since quite a few homes are already burned down or completely wrecked by the raging fire, the scale of the damage is no joke.
6. 매일 저녁마다 짙은 연기가 몰려오고 재가 눈처럼 떨어지고 있대.
They say thick smoke rolls in every evening and ash is falling just like snow.
7. 특히 이 동네는 목장이 많아서 가축들 대피시키는 게 큰일인데, 다행히 BC주나 알버타주 곳곳에서 동물들을 맡아주겠다는 따뜻한 도움의 손길이 이어지고 있어.
Since this area is packed with ranches getting the livestock out is a huge pain but thankfully folks from across BC and Alberta are stepping up to shelter the animals.
8. 트레일러를 끌고 와서 가축 옮기는 걸 도와주겠다는 사람들도 줄을 섰다고 하네.
People are literally lining up with their trailers to help haul away the livestock.

To make matters worse in these tough times, someone actually sabotaged the water facilities on purpose in the Boston Bar evacuation zone.

There are 139 wildfires blazing across BC right now, and with hot dry weather plus strong winds, I am super worried the flames will spread further.
14. 하루빨리 불길이 잡혀서 다들 무사히 집으로 돌아갔으면 좋겠어.
