According to Earthquakes Canada, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit offshore, about 181 kilometers southwest of Port Hardy, just before 10 PM.

A ton of people felt the ground shake pretty hard both times, but everyone breathed a sigh of relief since there was zero damage.
