When on air, he got so into sports that he would talk super fast and trip over his words, which his colleagues affectionately called doing a McKeachie.

Back when he played ball at UVic, he took an elbow to the face and suffered a pretty bad broken jaw while playing against the Harlem Clowns.
9. 회복 후에 라디오 스포츠 기자로 시작해서 BCTV(현재의 글로벌 BC 방송국)와 HNIC(캐나다 전국 하키 중계 프로그램) 등에서 엄청난 활약을 하셨지.
After bouncing back, he started out as a radio sports reporter and totally crushed it on BCTV and HNIC.
10. 나중에 방송국에서 세대교체를 이유로 젊은 후배한테 자리를 내주고 하차하게 됐을 때도, 뒤끝 없이 쿨하게 받아들이고 후배랑 계속 좋은 친구로 지내셨대.
Even when the station replaced him with a younger guy for fresh blood, he took it like a total champ and stayed great friends with him.
11. 은퇴 후에도 70대 중후반까지 비어 리그(아마추어 아이스하키 동호회)에서 뛸 정도로 스포츠를 진심으로 사랑하셨던 분이야.
He truly loved sports so much that he kept playing beer league hockey even after retiring into his mid-to-late 70s
12. 올해 BC주 스포츠 명예의 전당(스포츠 발전에 기여한 인물을 기리는 곳)에도 오르셨는데 이렇게 떠나시다니 마음이 먹먹하네.
He got inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame this year, and it just breaks my heart to see him pass away like this.
13. 부인 샌디 할머니와 세 딸이 남겨지셨는데, 고인의 명예롭고 따뜻했던 삶을 다들 오래 기억했으면 좋겠어.
He is survived by his wife Sandy and their three daughters, and I hope we all remember his warm, honorable life for a very long time to come.
