The perfect fall season is finally here to hit up BC wineries.

I just toured from Naramata through Penticton, hitting West Kelowna and Lake Country, all the way up to Vernon, and honestly, it was straight-up unreal.
3. 이번 여름에 산불 때문에 고생 좀 했지만, 지금은 낮엔 따뜻하고 밤엔 선선해서 살아남은 포도들 퀄리티가 완전 찢었어.
We had a rough time with the summer wildfires, but with warm days and cool nights now, the surviving grapes are completely off the charts.
4. 먼저 폭스트롯 와이너리(Foxtrot Winery)에 갔는데, 주인이 바뀌고 나서 완전 떡상 중이야.
First off, I hit up Foxtrot Winery, and it is totally popping off under the new ownership.
5. 특히 효모 찌꺼기(리스, 와인 발효 후 남은 침전물)랑 같이 60개월이나 숙성시킨 블랑 드 누아(적포도로 만든 화이트 스파클링 와인)는 입틀막 그 자체야.
Especially their Blanc de Noirs, aged for 60 months on the lees, is an absolute jaw-dropper.
6. 웨스트 켈로나에 있는 프린드 에스테이트(Frind Estate)도 다녀왔어.

7. 여긴 캘리포니아 나파밸리 뺨치고 프랑스 보르도 씹어먹을 정도로 당도 높은 포도를 키워내고 있더라.
They’re growing grapes so insanely sweet giving Napa Valley a run for its money and totally blowing Bordeaux out of the water
8. 새 와인들 시장에 풀리면 폼 장난 아닐 듯해.
Once the new wines hit the shelves, they’re gonna be absolute fire.
9. 레이크 컨트리에 한창 짓고 있는 오루크 패밀리 에스테이트(O'Rourke Family Estate)는 스케일이 진짜 탈인간급이야.
O’Rourke Family Estate, which is being built in Lake Country right now, has a scale that is straight-up next-level.
10. 지하 터널에 거대한 원형 극장, 고급 레스토랑까지 있어서, 전 총리가 여기서 G7 회의해도 되겠다고 했을 정도라니까.
With underground tunnels and a massive amphitheater, plus fancy fine dining restaurants, even the former prime minister said they could totally host the G7 summit here.
11. 와인 추천도 쓱 남겨볼게.
I'll just go ahead and drop a few wine recommendations too.
12. 호주산 밀튼 파크 카베르네 소비뇽은 티본스테이크랑 찰떡이고, 스페인산 렛 잇 비 로제(유기농 포도로 만든 핑크빛 와인)는 버섯 피자랑 먹으면 극락이야.
The Aussie Milton Park Cabernet Sauvignon pairs like a dream with T-bone steak, while Spain’s Let It Bee rosé is pure heaven with mushroom pizza.
13. 참고로 이 로제 와인은 수익금 일부를 꿀벌 보호에 쓴다니까 갓성비에 착한 소비까지 쌉가능이지.
Just so you know, part of the proceeds from this rosé goes toward protecting bees, so you get insane bang for your buck and feel-good shopping all in one.
14. BC주 카우이찬 밸리의 블루 그라우스 피노 누아(프랑스 버건디 지역이 원산지인 적포도 품종)는 섬세하고 밸런스가 좋아서 쟁여두기 딱 좋아.
Blue Grouse Pinot Noir from BC’s Cowichan Valley is super delicate and well-balanced, making it totally worth stocking up on.
15. 참, 10월 한 달 동안 30달러짜리 프레이저 밸리 와인 패스포트를 사면 랭리나 써리 쪽 와이너리들 돌면서 시음도 하고 지역 푸드뱅크에 기부도 할 수 있어.
