He declared he would cap profits for big corporate grocery chains, calling them out for jacking up grocery prices.

But he went out of his way to single out BC’s homegrown Save-On-Foods and put them on blast, while letting out-of-province giants like Walmart or Costco off the hook.

Pattison is a legit philanthropist who dropped 75 million dollars on St. Paul’s Hospital, plus his grocery workers are unionized, and he really looks out for local farmers.
9. 예전 신민당 주총리였던 우잘 도산지는 “이런 레전드를 깎아내린다고 가족들 밥 먹여줄 수 있는 거 아니다”라고 뼈를 때렸지.
Former NDP Premier Ujjal Dosanjh called him out, saying trashing an absolute legend won’t put food on families’ tables.
10. 사실 전 주총리 존 호건은 패티슨 덕분에 기업인들이랑 인맥도 트고 엄청난 도움을 받았다고 회고록에까지 썼어.
Honestly, former Premier John Horgan even wrote in his memoir that he rubbed shoulders with business leaders and got tons of help thanks to Pattison.
11. 또 다른 전 주총리 글렌 클라크도 재판받고 파산 직전일 때 패티슨이 손내밀어 취직시켜준 은인이란 말이지.
And for another former premier, Glen Clark, Pattison was a total lifesaver, hooking him up with a job when he was facing trial and going broke.

While his predecessors treated him like a savior, Eby basically ended up swinging at thin air.
