But Mayor Locke held her ground and fired back, saying her signs only went up on private property with full permission, while everyone else’s signs got taken down simply because they were straight-up illegal.

Former mayor Doug McCallum also stepped up and grilled her hard for shutting down the 50-year-old Fraser Downs racetrack, costing thousands of people their jobs.
14. 로크는 흔들림 없이 “일자리 잃은 사람 극소수고, 애초에 요즘 경마 자체가 인기가 다 식어서 그 땅을 더 쓸모 있게 활용하는 게 낫다”라고 반박했어.
Locke pushed back without missing a beat, saying barely anyone lost their jobs, since horse racing has lost its hype, and that land is better off repurposed.

A candidate named Igal Ammons II also promised to automate permit applications to drastically cut wait times.
