The new drama Yaga dropping on Crave this weekend is an absolute banger.
If you’re a die-hard fan dying for Hudson Williams’ next project, or someone treating spooky season like a sacred national holiday, this is an absolute must-binge.
Even if you’re a nerd for both, you’re totally good to go.
This eight-part drama is already blowing up because teen heartthrob Hudson Williams plays dual roles, and the cast lineup is totally stacked with Canada’s top acting powerhouses.
Starting with Carrie-Anne Moss from The Matrix, to Noah Reid from Schitt’s Creek, and Clark Backo from Letterkenny, plus our forever Anne of Green Gables, Megan Follows, they showed up in full force.
The show is set in the fictional town of Weetock, filmed across misty Vancouver Island, a mystical place run by a filthy rich family, where witches flex their magic without backing down.
Sheila McCarthy, one of the cast members, summed it up perfectly by calling it “Dexter, but with witches.”
It’s based on the Slavic Baba Yaga legend, that witch in a hut on chicken legs, but the women totally steal the show both in front of and behind the camera, making it an absolute blast to watch.
Kat Sandler, the showrunner heading up this project, is totally oozing with confidence, saying it’s about time for a show like this.
The first two episodes drop this Friday, with weekly episodes until the November 27th finale, so grab a big bowl of popcorn and binge-watch it all weekend long.
