The fire was sparked during grenade launcher practice, but the wind suddenly shifted, trapping the soldiers in flames before they could even react.
4. 이 사고로 무려 39명이 다쳤고, 정말 안타깝게도 4명의 젊은 군인들이 목숨을 잃었어.
The accident left as many as 39 people injured, and heartbreakingly, four young soldiers lost their lives.
5. 니스트롬 상병은 심각한 화상을 입고 혼수상태에 빠졌다가 다행히 최근에 의식을 되찾았어.
Corporal Nystrom got burned really badly and slipped into a coma, but luckily he recently came around.
6. 발가락을 꼼지락거리고 사람들을 눈으로 쫓을 수 있을 정도로 회복 중이지만, 앞으로 여러 번의 수술과 긴 재활을 견뎌야 한다고 하네.
He’s recovering enough to wiggle his toes, and track people with his eyes, but they say he has to push through multiple surgeries and a long rehab.
7. 불길 속에서도 전우를 두고 갈 수 없다며 위험을 무릅쓰고 서로를 구조해 낸 군인들의 전우애가 정말 눈물겨운 것 같아.
It honestly chokes me up seeing the brotherhood of those soldiers, who risked their lives to save each other from the flames, refusing to leave anyone behind.
8. 그의 장인어른도 이런 끔찍한 상황 속에서 구조에 나선 군인들과 병원 의료진의 헌신에 깊은 감사를 표했어.
His father-in-law was also deeply grateful to the soldiers who stepped up to help, and the hospital staff for their dedication through this absolute nightmare.
9. 지금 니스트롬 상병의 아내는 간호를 위해 일을 쉴 수밖에 없는 상황이라, 가족들이 GoFundMe (온라인 크라우드펀딩 플랫폼)에 사연을 올리고 도움을 구하고 있어.
Corporal Nystrom’s wife had to take time off from work to take care of him, so the family started a GoFundMe page to reach out and ask for help.
10. 군 당국도 정확한 사고 원인을 철저히 조사하고 재발 방지 대책을 세우겠다고 밝혔어.
The military said they’re digging into what exactly caused the accident and making sure it never happens again.

I just really hope the injured soldiers make a full recovery physically and mentally as soon as humanly possible.
