But Doerksen immediately scrapped that bill, arguing that bureaucrats down in Victoria couldn’t possibly know what’s best for building homes in Williams Lake.

Even the experts raised an eyebrow at whether the province forcing things through actually made housing more affordable or just jacked up land prices

Even if we go back to letting cities call the shots like the Conservatives want, whether BC housing will actually get cheaper is honestly anyone’s guess right now.
